BACH Guam 4 Teltta, vihreä (willow bough green)
Simple, classic, three season and freestanding backpacking tent for four persons. Bach has used the very latest innovation in ultra light tent poles. This results in a superlight tent by combining the poles and the advanced GorLyn 20 fabric. The inner tent has an integrated cross pole, which creates nearly straight side walls with more than enough moving space inside for four persons.
The inner tent is made of 15D breathable rip stop nylon, with mesh panels covered by curtains. This makes the Guam series perfect for three season use. No compromise for lightweight and durability. This GorLyn 20 fly fabric has been made from high-tenacity nylon 6.6 with a yarn thickness of 20 denier. Light in weight, but strong enough to support you in difficult conditions. The tent floor is made from a 40-denier nylon rip stop with a laminated thermo-plastic polyurethane (TPU) coating of 10.000mm.
Gorlyn
Gorlyn fabric is made from high-strength nylon 6.6, which has a higher tensile strength than normal and is the most commonly used nylon in tent construction. Gorlyn fabric is 4 to 5 times stronger than most other high-end lightweight fabrics used for tents. The fabric has been tested by TÜV (ISO 13937-4). The weight is lower than regular tent fabrics.
Bach uses a coating of pure silicone, without any other chemicals. The coating is made in three layers, 2 base layers on the back and one layer on the front. This results in a particularly durable and water-repellent protection. The silicone treatment has no influence on the fabric strength of the fabrics, due to the higher melting point of 6.6 nylon.
