The Triton Canoe combines the traditional form of the "Indian Canoe" with a modern underwater hull and excellent navigating characteristics.
The combination of a low keel drop and innovative body plan ensures good directional stability and good manoeuvrability. The midship with slightly raised gunwales is a special innovation: this ensures that there is always sufficient distance to the water surface even with strong anchoring edges and that no water penetrates.
The laterally integrated air hoses not only provide for the innovative shape of the underwater hull, but also for sufficient buoyancy in case the canoe should fill up with water. An important safety feature! The canoe comes as standard in a two-person configuration, but can be equipped with an additional centre seat, making it a faithful companion for families with one or two small children. The possible payload of 330kg is also completely sufficient for this use.
The combination of the aesthetically pleasing form with the excellent properties on the water promises a high degree of pleasure - no matter whether it is a day trip or an expedition lasting several weeks. By the way, the construction is simple and easy to do. Another advantage that you will appreciate at any time.
The canoe consists of 5 frames and a double keel in the middle segment. The boat skin has air hoses integrated at the sides and reinforcing strips or keel strips already installed at the factory on all more heavily loaded areas (gunwales, underwater hull). The air hoses form the widest point on the boat, i.e. the material can give way like a buffer under load instead of rubbing out under certain circumstances.
Like all Triton or Nortik boats, the Canoe is also stowed in a backpack and, with a weight of 25 kg, can be transported from the car or public transport to the place of use without any major problems due to the relieving hip belt. Your hands remain free for further luggage!
