Robust ascension aid! The MTN Dibona Tech is a versatile access shoe that is also perfect for hiking. Its stable sole construction gives the MTN Dibona Tech a perfect grip - even when it gets more technical off-road. The raised edge of the sole provides stability, a long service life and top performance for easier climbs. The clever lacing offers an excellent fit and optimum pressure distribution on the forefoot and metatarsus, while the solid toe cap protects against hard rock contact. The shaft of the metatarsal area is reinforced with a robust, highly abrasion-resistant material, which gives the outdoor shoe a longer life. Its midsole consists of two different hard material mixtures - a slightly softer and dampening one at the heel and a slightly harder one at the forefoot, which provides more stability. No matter if you are looking for a robust access shoe for the multi-rope length in the Dolomites or a light hiking shoe for your next family trip - the MTN Dibona Tech is a solid, reliable companion. The shoe is made of environmentally friendly leather. The metatarsal area is made of recycled materials, while half the lining is made of recycled raw materials. The laces are completely made of recycled raw materials. The VAUDE Green Shape label stands for an environmentally friendly, functional product made from sustainable materials.
VAUDE uses renewable raw materials of vegetable or animal origin to manufacture this product. This saves on raw fossil materials.
Certified Leather (terracare)
Leather sustainably produced in Germany according to high social and ecological standards. Through the conscious use of resources such as water, chemicals and energy, Terracare leather is not only produced in a particularly ecological way, but is also extremely low in pollutants.
The VAUDE "PVC-free" seal means that this product is manufactured completely without PVC (polyvinyl chloride). Looks like truck tarpaulin, is just as durable and waterproof, but consists of PU (polyurethane) coated textile fabric instead of PVC. PVC often contains plasticisers (phthalates) which are suspected of being harmful to health.
VAUDE uses recycled materials to manufacture this product, e.g. from PET bottles. This enables them to save up to 50 % on energy and CO2 emissions as well as on fossil raw materials.
Eco Finish: environmentally-friendly, water-repellent DWR VAUDE products, which are provided with the eco finish icon, are water repellent yet environmentally-friendly; manufactured without fluorocarbons (PFC). PFCs belong to a group of chemical compounds made up of fluorine and carbon that man invented a few decades ago. Many PFCs aren’t degradable, accumulate in the food chain and in the body and are suspected of causing cancer. VAUDE is clearly committed to the complete phase-out of PFC technology. VAUDE products with Eco Finish mark have been waterproofed without PFC.
OrthoLite insoles are made of open-pored polyurethane foam. They’re extremely breathable, durable and prevent the formation of fungi, bacteria and odours. The EcoPlush variant used contains 25% organic castor oil, the upper sole material consists of 50% recycled polyester. OrthoLite insoles are machine washable.
The V-Flow value indicates the strength of the shaft in combination with the middle and outer soles.
