VAUDES´s new EMP back panel inside the rucksack stabilises the load and moves forward with it while preventing luggage from pushing through to your back.

The ergonomically shaped shoulder straps and the slim pack sack offer great freedom of movement. In the main compartment, everything you need for the day trip can be stowed away. You can also reach objects further down via a zipper opening in the front area. The hiking map is stored in a pocket on the front. In the lid compartment there’s a security pocket for keys, money and documents. If required, the backpack can be compressed using side straps. A side stretch pocket holds the water bottle or gloves and cap.

A material loop on the hip belt is perfect for attaching the via ferrata carabiners, on the other side there is a hip belt pocket. The Prokyon is not only versatile, but also impresses with its environmentally friendly production. This product is manufactured with environmentally-friendly water-repellent Eco Finish without fluorocarbons (PFC). The VAUDE Green Shape label stands for an environmentally friendly, functional product made from sustainable materials.

Recycled Materials
VAUDE uses recycled materials to manufacture this product, for e.g.. from PET bottles. This enables them to save up to 50 % on energy and CO2 emissions as well as on raw fossil materials. For further details see the care label in the product.

Vent Active Hike back system
The Vent Active Hike back system is suitable for light to normal luggage in rough terrain. Stability and freedom of movement are crucial for the activity. The ergonomic EMP back plate ensures load transfer and packing stability. The padded surfaces are ventilated through ventilation ducts.

Ergo Shape
Ergonomically shaped shoulder strap, wide in the shoulder support area and narrow in the shoulder joint area. Comfort and freedom of movement in perfect harmony.

EMP Hike
EMP Hike Ergonomic Movement Panel: a lightweight, ergonomically shaped back plate. The construction allows forward movement and stabilises backward movement. It stabilises the load and increases the packing stability of the backpack.

Eco Finish
VAUDE products with Eco Finish are environmentally friendly, water-repellent and manufactured without fluorocarbons (PFC). PFC belong to a group of chemical compounds that are used in many outdoor products to impregnate the outer fabric. They have been criticised for not being degradable, accumulating in the body and being suspected of being harmful to health. VAUDE has a clear commitment to not use PFC at all.

This means that Vaude is committed to continuously improving working conditions at all its production sites. These are checked regularly. Green Shape
Green Shape is the VAUDE seal of approval for products that are manufactured in a particularly environmentally friendly way. This includes the complete production cycle from development and production to maintenance and usability after use. The criteria for this are strict. The products must consist either of at least 90 percent organically grown cotton, recycled materials or the Tencel wood fibre. Furthermore, they must have been dyed with the environmentally friendly dyeing process VAUDE eColour or meet the world's strictest environmental textile standard Bluesign.
