Green Shape
Green Shape is the VAUDE seal of approval for products that are manufactured in a particularly environmentally friendly manner. This includes the complete production cycle from development and production to maintenance and usability after use. The criteria for this are strict. The products must consist either of at least 90 percent organically grown cotton, recycled materials or the Tencel wood fibre. Furthermore, they must have been dyed with the environmentally friendly dyeing process VAUDE eColour or meet the world's strictest environmental textile standard Bluesign. Eco Finish
Eco Finish – environmentally-friendly durable water repellency (DWR) VAUDE products bearing the Eco Finish icon are waterrepellent yet have at the same time been manufactured without any harmful fluorocarbons (PFC). PFC are part of a group of chemical compounds made from fluoride and carbon, which humankind discovered several decades ago. Many PFC are non biodegradable, bioaccumulative and toxic, and suspected of being carcinogenic. VAUDE is committed to the complete phasing out of PFC technology. VAUDE products bearing the Eco Finish seal have been waterproofed without PFC.

PVC free
The VAUDE label "PVC-free" means that this product is manufactured 100% free of PVC (polyvinyl choride). It looks like tarpaulin canvas, is just as durable and waterproof, but is made from PU (polyurethane) coated fabric rather than PVC. PVC largely contains plasticizers (phthalates) that are considered to be harmful to your health.
